I graduated in applied mathematics from the University of Warsaw in Poland and earned my Ph.D. in biocybernetics and biomedical engineering.

My work focuses on data analysis and the modeling of physical and biological processes. Along the way, I once counted single photons—but they turned out to be far too fast, so I traded that hobby for listening to ultrasound.

Modeling various phenomena has entered my bloodstream so deeply that I now simulate my work as a head of hair blown by different kinds of radiation emerging from inside a computer monitor, while simultaneously compensating for the shortcomings of natural intelligence with a growing fascination for artificial intelligence—and artificial stupidity.

Trying to and striving for the ideal application of mathematics—that is, one in which mathematical reasoning provides a direct—and, equally importantly, true—answer to questions that interest people who are not mathematicians.(Wojciech Sadowski).
